As new career and technical education courses are implemented, districts must decide which courses to offer and how best to align programs of study to both postsecondary and workforce opportunities on a regional and statewide basis. Bringing in the right partners as a part of this process is a critical step in planning for successful implementation of the new courses.
Michael is the associate vice chancellor for technology advancement at Texas State Technical College (TSTC) where he serves as the director of TSTC Emerging Technologies. His recent research was a key component to the report Texas Works, released by Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, Susan Combs in 2008.
