This summer, the Career & Technology Association of Texas and Texas Health Occupations Association are teaming up to offer professional development for career and technical administrators, counselors, Tech Prep personnel, CTE specialists and health science teachers.

Career and technical education is at the leading edge of dynamic changes in education. Globalization, demographic shifts and advancements in science and technology represent new challenges. Texas must address these issues as it strives to retain its role as a world leader in innovation.

Career and technical education has successfully linked programs of study to college and the workplace. Additionally, it is uniquely positioned to help address issues affecting graduation rates and academic and technical skill attainment. Breaking through traditional barriers has fostered the development of educational programs and curricula that meet the needs of all students and prepare them for their future. At the Texas Career Education Conference, sessions and speakers will focus on these priorities with new perspective.
